Runnin’ for Rhett is a passion point for Owen-Dunn because Runnin’ for Rhett physically manifests their optimistic message of Move into Life by the outreach they have into local communities. Through a wide range of wellness activities such as Fun Runs, Marathons, and Youth Fitness Programs for School Children; Runnin’ for Rhett wants to Inspire, Uplift, and Encourage all to Move into Life.
Owen-Dunn believes in being a motivating and positive part of the community and the work with Runnin’ for Rhett is a testament to that endeavor. Runnin’ for Rhett serves the 5-county Region of Sacramento (Placer, El Dorado, Amador, and Yolo Counties). They select schools based on various criteria including whether or not they are Title 1 schools, their API (Academic Performance Index) and their California “Physical Fitness Report” scores.

At Owen-Dunn Insurance Services, we recognize the positive impact a quality education can have on a student’s future.
We enthusiastically support Cristo Rey High School and their Work-Study program. They take education a step further than the average high school by providing students from underserved communities a professional work experience as well as a strong academic college preparatory education.
In addition to helping the school financially, Owen-Dunn has had the privilege of mentoring interns from Cristo Rey daily throughout the school year. The students have made a very positive impact on Owen-Dunn and other businesses in the community. In turn, as a result of the combined program of education and work-study, a remarkable 97% of the students in the four graduating classes have been accepted into universities.
Owen-Dunn is proud to contribute to this remarkable program which we believe adds much to our Sacramento community.
