- Do they prefer single location entities, or are they geared
toward employers (such as distributors and contractors) who work

Loss Control Servicing
- Do they staff their department with adequate knowledgeable
loss control representatives in order to provide a consistently
high standard of service?
- Under open rating, most carriers have reduced loss control
to mere lip service; can they provide testing services, such as
air and audiometric?
Claims Servicing
How do they process claims?
- Do they assign one claims representative per client, or do
they "pool" claims?
- Are they set up primarily for severity claims, or do they focus
on bulk frequency claims?
Premium Structure
- Can the carrier adapt to the changing market?
- Do they have the capacity to allow premium discounts for above-average
businesses?
